Carpet & LVT Maintenance Best Practices

 Presentation Synopsis:

Join us for an educational session on best practices for maintaining carpet and luxury vinyl tile (LVT) in healthcare environments. This presentation will cover the essentials of a strong maintenance program, including proper matting, cleaning methods, and product selection.

We will break down common misconceptions, like why more chemical does not mean a better clean, and share practical guidance on stain removal, equipment, and routine care. Attendees will also learn manufacturer recommended processes, how to avoid common maintenance pitfalls, including bonnet cleaning, and ways to extend the life and appearance of flooring systems.

Ideal for facility and environmental services professionals, this session offers clear, actionable takeaways you can immediately put into practice.

Learning Objectives:

  • Understand the key components of an effective maintenance program for carpet and LVT, including proper matting, routine cleaning methods, and equipment selection.
  • Identify common maintenance misconceptions and mistakes, including improper chemical use and outdated cleaning methods, and learn how to avoid them.
  • Apply manufacturer recommended best practices for stain removal, interim maintenance, and long term care to extend the life and performance of flooring systems.
