SUMMARY:Forgotten Harvest Volunteer Event!
DESCRIPTION:Volunteer with Forgotten Harvest\nForgotten Harvest – Distribution Center \nPlease join SMSHE as we volunteer with Forgotten Harvest at their Distribution Center in Oak Park\, MI. Volunteers are needed to help pack emergency food boxes and re-pack or sort fresh nutritious food that will be distributed through Wayne\, Oakland\, and Macomb County.\n\nBuilding emergency food boxes is the main focus. Other tasks may include\, but are not limited to:\n\n\nGeneral cleaning and distribution center needs\nSweep distribution center floor and mop corners\nDust off the top of food boxes/pallets\nSeparate and bag food into gaylords\nPut cardboard in the baler\n\nVolunteers in the distribution center must be at least 10 years of age. Volunteers under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.\n\n\n\nMANDATORY DRESS CODE: Must wear long pants & closed-toe shoes. \n\nNO open-toe or heel shoes (any kind of shoe exposing feet or any part of the foot\, like sandals\, sling-back\, or Crocs)\nNO tank tops \nNO jewelry.  Wedding rings are fine.  All earrings and facial piercings must be removed.
