DESCRIPTION:Summary Description:\n \nThis presentation will introduce the basics of engineering controls in Compounding Pharmacies\, focusing on the updates to USP 797 and 800 standards\, which will become official on November 1\, 2023.  These standards impact the room pressurization monitoring and control of the critical spaces. Items discussed throughout this program will include: \n\nIdentifying the requirements needed for Primary and Secondary Engineering Controls.\nDistinguishing between sterile\, non-sterile\, hazardous and non-hazardous mixing spaces.\nSelecting and laying out room pressure controls for a Compounding Pharmacy.\nUnderstanding the difference in airflow control types and their application in Compounding Pharmacies.\nReview implementation challenges.\n\n Speaker Biography: \nCharles Frost is Michigan Air Products’ Critical Controls Business Development Manager.  He has 30+ years of experience in designing\, installing and maintaining airflow control systems for critical environments.
